Group Healing to raise funds for Australian Red Cross
Announcement from Charlie Goldsmith (Facebook announcement)
As you may be aware, Australia is on fire.
There are currently massive bushfires fueled by record-breaking temperatures and months of severe drought. These are having a devastating impact on Australian communities and wildlife.
I will be holding a Group Healing next weekend, and ask for your support in donating to the Australian Red Cross. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a little or a lot. Anything helps.
Date: Sunday 12 January
Time: 8 AM – 9 AM UTC+11 Australia

2020 Vision
I love the thought that this year promises clear vision and clear paths. My inbox is filling with emails from people and businesses, all looking forward to a year that is different. Apparently 2019 pretty much sucked. So many challenges, disappointments, losses…
Can we will away challenges? Can we demand a change of consciousness? No, we can’t. We can change only our own thinking and actions. And that’s freakin’ hard to do, mostly because we tend to avoid reality. As Robert Fritz, author of The Path of Least Resistance, says: Reality is an acquired taste. (See more of his quotes here.)
We can learn from nature, which always takes the path of least resistance. Water flows downward and around obstacles. Yet we tend to glorify going against the flow, even when it’s not necessary.
So my vision for 2020 has to move along a different path. What’s true for me is not what’s true for many others. Instead, I’m told that I’m practicing witchcraft. Or I’m told that what I do is not possible. Clearly, I haven’t found my target audience 🙂 If you’re reading this and can help give me insight, I’d be grateful to hear from you.
Happy 2020!
Coping with the loss of a pet
Yesterday I worked with Kali, a sweet dog that had advanced cancer. Her mom had asked for my help to ease Kali’s pain.
This morning I learned that Kali had passed later in the evening. Even though I knew her only from a distance and for an extremely short amount of time, I felt tremendous grief. I hadn’t been asked to heal her or save her, only to make her more comfortable. Still… her passing feels so sad and unsettling.

Karuna – Sweet Relief
This big-eyed beauty suddenly became very vocal and restless. She walked up and down the hallway, loudly meowing. She acted distressed, as if she were lost or looking for someone. She hated closed doors. Afternoons and early morning seemed to be the worst for her incessant, pleading meows. “We have had to start keeping her in a separate room at night so we can sleep without her pleading,” her mom wrote.
Using my investigative techniques, I discovered that she was stuck in obsessive grief. Her people were surprised, since there hadn’t been a recent death or anything obvious that could be causing such distress. I cleared the block and awaited the result. The next day I received this email…
“THANK you so much for our meeting yesterday. Karuna has been very quiet today. It’s quite amazing. Honestly, I am shocked. Not a peep out of her. Even during her usual afternoon session of chronic meowing, she has been very quiet. I will let you know how it continues, but I can’t thank you enough.”
